This old house sits in a remote area in central southern Indiana's  hilly country at the bottom of the hill of Foxes Corner on the Upper Bean Blossom Road in Brown County.  I painted it in November of 2016 from photos I took back in the mid 1980's.  It has been sitting empty through all these years and still stands, but now is on its last leg and almost beyond repair.  I've often fantasized of the generations of families raised there during its hay days, probably back in the early 1900"s.  It was quite a place with two large substantial barns and several back buildings and the house itself was obviously built well.  Through the years I have painted the house and all of the barns on the property  from many different angles and seasons.  As a matter of fact,  I just finished a sequel to this painting with another painting but of the  back view of the house,  titled "Around Back" of course.
